The Rest of the Story: The Chiltons: Sweeeeet!
Thursday, June 11, 2009 There basically are two usages of the word sweet (well, besides the obvious sugary one). The first one is to imply something is endearing and likeable. As in, "That is so cute and sweet." It's pretty much like comparing someone or something to an amazingly good cinnamon roll. The other, according to the Urban Dictionary is:
'Adj. An intensive used to express satisfaction, acceptance, pleasure, excellence, exaltation, approval, awe, or reverence. When used individually, the level of satisfaction expressed is most often directly proportionate to the duration of the vowel sound.'
For example: "Free dinner!...Sweeeeet!" This usage was perfected by Bill and Ted in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and infinite surfer dudes on the beaches in So. Cal. I love this definition.
I think that both definitions apply equally to the Chilton family. I, in equal parts, want to eat them and to go surfing with them.
I have the opportunity to work with Kyle at my 'regular' job. He and his family moved away for a while and are now back and we are all very glad. They have the cutest kids and I love it when they come into the office. It's a good break from the norm.

This next photo has particular interest because James, the little guy, took it. I like to do this for two reasons. I like to see what they will shoot and it usually yields good results. I also like it because this a photo of his parents looking at James...not the photographer. It's more special because it is between them. Big people and little people connecting :). He has some artistic flare! Sweeet!

I love the one that James took! What a fun idea! The one after that, (with the little ones in the field,) is also wonderful. And the mom has beautiful eyes!
