The Rest of the Story: The Norris Family: Together
Wednesday, July 22, 2009 You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.
-- Desmond Tutu
Family is one of the most important things to me. I think that's why I prefer to shoot families. Families are real and tangible. They are the stuff that matters. The faults and quirks and difficulties in each family are what makes each one special. Those are the things that threaten to drive us apart but ultimately bind us together in the end. We forgive our families more than others. We understand them better. We are in the same breath, more and less patient with them than anyone else. But in the end they are the ones that understand us...for better or worse. Being understood and loved for it, or in spite of it. Invaluable.
The Norris family is no exception. They are happy and caring. They are considerate and fun. They are happy together.

I've always said "The family that cheers together, stays together!"

What a beautiful introduction! Completely true and beautifully written! The Norrises have darling children; I love the individual shots! I also love the ones with the kids in front and the parents further behind.
Also, I really like the new watermark! (I think that's what it's called...)
