Sunday walks...

I love a good Sunday walk. Especially now when there is so much, so near, to discover. Yesterday the leaves on the trees were bright yellow. The best color of yellow. I was thinking that they should always be yellow. All trees should be yellow in stead of green. Why green? Why mostly green and just a little yellow? Why not the patchwork of color all the time. Red, orange, yellow, and green. Why not?

Then I figured that we may not even appreciate the yellow trees if they are yellow all the time. There wouldn't be anything special about it...they are always yellow...why aren't the green? So I think that someone knew what he was doing when he created green trees that turn yellow for three fantastic weeks every year.

Here are some iPhone photos from the walk...

...ps...those roses toward the top are right outside my door. One of the ladies that live on the floor above us takes care of them. I have no idea how they are still alive since it's been so cold but they are beautiful.

That's funny; I had a very similar train of thought a couple of weeks ago as I was driving to church. "These trees are so beautiful with red leaves. They should always have red leaves. But if they always had red leaves, I probably wouldn't even notice the red leaves." I LOVE fall colors.
