.: New iPhone + Hipstamatic = amazingness and creativity in my pocket
.: My inner ear infection + vertigo = Everyone just needs to calm down and stop moving around...and I need to get off this boat...all day long...
.: Wallstreet: Money Never Sleeps + Carey Mulligan's haircut = a mild obsession...I wish I dare cut my hair like this....maybe...and a really good flick
.: Mad Men + 60's Movies = starting to affect the way I dress...I like this
.: Dry air + cold temperatures = Eczema on my face...really? I look like an acned teenager...they don't call it Covergirl for nothin'!
.: Taking down Christmas decorations + not being able to listen to Christmas music anymore = mild depression...planning imaginary vacations in my head to cope...
.: New Year's Resolutions + me = not friends...I can't take this seriously! I don't know why... I have real, personal goals that are important to me but they seem permanent and not bound by a time-table. Not something to check off a list. Just things to keep at.
But there are some things I'd like to do this year... Maybe a lighter level of resolution...
...Draw more
...Buy a record player and some real vinyl...especially some Frankie, Miles Davis and ALL the Beatles albums (Ok...that's probably more moneys than I have)
...Cut my hair?...ooorrrr... Decide if I should cut my hair
...Finish decorating the apartment...preferably with all things vintage
...Go here a lot
...Take more photos of things that make me happy...this seemed to work last year...
...See the ocean
...Explore my surroundings in Salt Lake City
...Take some photos of myself that I don't hate
...Walk more
...Finish reading this and read some other things that are equally inspiring
...Take an epic road trip
...hmmmmmm...that's all I can think of right now. Profound, no? :)

I know one way you can do one of those things this year... come see us! We will take you to the beach. That works right? Ok, maybe you wanted to see a warm ocean, I can't help you with that one.

I am also not friends with New Year's resolutions. How about getting a good family picture. See, that's why I don't make them! I can't keep them! This is one I definitely don't know if I can keep for reasons known to both of us! Is there hope?! Well, there is no beach in Albuquerque and it definitely does not have the same coolness factor as Boston or San Francisco or Portland but you could put us on the map for your road trip. It's supposed to be epic right? Does a stop in Albuquerque ruin the epicness? It might. Thanks again for the taking those cute pictures of Kate, I love them!
