You know how most girls grow up dream about their wedding? They think up the dress and the flowers and t party...maybe event the groom etc etc. I don't. It's not that I don't dream about my wedding it's just not those things I think about. I think about the invitation. Yes, the invitation. I dream about the perfect wedding invitation. I have this random stack of invitations to bridal showers, weddings and parties that I've kept because they have some little detail that I want to remember. I'm not sure that it's normal to think about wedding invitations a lot. It's not just wedding invitations though. It's all printed matter sent through the mail. I love it. It's birth and baptism announcements and save the date cards. Also, baby and wedding showers and landmark birthday and anniversary parties. I really don't even like parties...but I would have one just to send out invitations.
The truth is as a single 31 year old I have very little (if anything) to announce...so I just keep planning in my head. So don't be surprised if you get an over-the-top birthday announcement for some random 30 somethingth birthday from me in the mail some day...kidding...maybe.
Anyway, I think of this because of this amazing record player wedding invitation (with original song) that I saw on Design*Sponge. It's probably the coolest thing I've ever seen...Ever! These people are super creative!! Only cool people can go to their wedding. It's amazingly designed and printed and it's a working record player. That is amazing! Did I say this is amazing...oh, good. Oh...and dont' forget the original song by the bride and groom. Wow!
It reminds me of another great idea that I saw a few months back on the same site. I went back to check it out and realized it was the same designer...Kelli Anderson. Everything she does is ingenious! For this one she made custom made handkerchief invites. I LOVE this idea. I think it's beautiful. See the whole process here.
SO many great a creative people out there!! I feel inspired...now I just need something to announce or invite people too...I'll get to work on that...

question: will you maybe help me design harley's sealing/blessing announcements/invitation? i have been trying to figure out what to do and i got nothing....
So... I made you an invitation for Benton's birthday party and usually think about making one for you and your family when we have holiday dinners but I wasn't sure if you would really care about getting one or not. But now I will send them to you! Not that they are anything special, but now you will know you are always invited!
